  • Processes for installing PostgreSQL
  • Managing configuration files, including postgresql.conf, postgresql.auto.conf, pg_hba.conf, and pg_ident.conf
  • Tuning core parameters related to memory, logging, and connections
  • Strategies for upgrading and migrating PostgreSQL installations

Security Management

  • Handling user roles, groups, and privilege assignments
  • Applying authentication methods such as trust, password, MD5, and SCRAM
  • Understanding Row-Level Security and data access policies
  • Implementing SSL/TLS configurations

Backup and Recovery

  • Creating logical backups using pg_dump and restoring with pg_restore
  • Performing physical backups with pg_basebackup
  • Implementing incremental backups and WAL archiving strategies
  • Executing complete recovery and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR)
