  • Understanding databases: What they are and how RDBMS differs from DBMS.
  • Overview of different RDBMS options available in the market.
  • What is SQL Server? Working with SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Working with sublanguages such as DDL, DML, and DAL.
  • Creating tables, defining data types, and setting constraints.
  • Using INSERT, DELETE, and UPDATE statements.
  • Constructing SELECT queries and applying various operators.
  • Utilising NULL, NOT NULL, AND, OR, BETWEEN, EXISTS, ORDER BY, GROUP BY, and the HAVING clause.
  • Understanding built-in functions: mathematical, string, and datetime functions.
  • Working with views and how they are used for data access.
  • Working with joins: types of joins and retrieving data from multiple tables.
  • Working with subqueries: what a correlated subquery is, and the differences between subqueries and joins.
  • Understanding Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and using recursive CTEs.
