  • Understanding the concept of databases and comparing RDBMS with DBMS
  • Reviewing the different RDBMS options available in the market.
  • An overview of SQL Server and practical work with SQL Server Management Studio
  • Exploring sub-languages such as DDL, DML, and DAL.
  • Creating tables, along with defining data types and constraints.
  • Applying Insert, Delete, and Update statements.
  • Utilising Select queries and their various operators.
  • Working with Null, Not Null, And, OR, Between, Exists, Order by, Group by, and the Having clause
  • Understanding built-in functions, including mathematical, string, and datetime functions.
  • Working with views and their role in data access.
  • Exploring joins, including different join types and retrieving data from multiple tables.
  • Utilising subqueries, understanding correlated subqueries, and distinguishing between subqueries and joins.
  • An overview of Common Table Expressions and the use of recursive Common Table expressions.
