Technology

This course is not platform-specific; it covers only the elements and attributes defined by the OMG specification. By default, it uses jBPM, but any other tool may be used as long as it supports BPMN 2.0.

Class format

Process mining, also known as Automated Business Process Discovery (ABPD), is a technique that applies algorithms to event logs to analyse business processes. • The course begins with an overview of the most commonly used process mining techniques. We explore various process discovery algorithms and tools designed to uncover and model processes from raw event data. Real-world case studies are reviewed, and data sets are analysed using the open-source ProM framework.
